Spencer Cheng: software, visual, text. He has worked in branding and technology, and for private equity companies in Shanghai, California, Hong Kong, and New York. He ran the US business for a rare-earth metals company from 2007 to 2010. Spencer, who studied engineering at Cal Poly, earned a BA in Economics from Columbia University.
Ignatius Chithelen, publisher; also publisher Global Indian Times. A former reporter at Forbes, he has written for Knowledge@Wharton, The New York Times and Barron’s. His essay on Indian Entrepreneurs in the U.S. was published in both editions of The Oxford University Press Companion to Economics in India. Ignatius is manager of Banyan Tree Capital, New York. Earlier he was an analyst and fund manager at First Eagle (SoGen) funds. A Chartered Financial Analyst, he earned an M.Phil. in Development Economics from the Centre for Development Studies, India, an MS in Journalism from Columbia University, New York and an MA in political science from Mumbai University.
Visakh Menon: design. He is an art director who integrates communication, branding and interactive media. Since 2000 Visakh has designed for leading global brands such as Coca Cola, Target, Nikon, GE and Microsoft. He works with advertising agencies and design studios. Visakh is also a visual artist whose work spans installations, video / media art, sculpture & mixed media works on paper. His recent work, shown at galleries in the US and abroad, focuses on the physical manifestations of digital things and objects of fictionalized reverence. It is based on his fascination for technology and science. Visakh got an MFA in Graphic Design from the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) in 2007.
